Today was such an exciting day in the classroom! The whole crew gathered around my playpen in a big circle to watch me explore my little cardboard playground. I could feel their energy and excitement as they all leaned in close to see what I was up to. It was the perfect way to wrap up our first week together!
Earlier in the day, something amazing happened. A very important visitor came in to see how our crew was doing. And guess what? The big kids were incredible! They knew exactly why they have to put their lunchboxes away and get ready for learning right after lunch—it's all about maximizing their learning time! Can you believe that? They’ve only been in kindergarten for five days, and they’re already soaking up so much knowledge.

We also had our first fire drill today! The kids were super prepared, and the whole school managed to get out safely in under four minutes. I heard that Ms. Strempel played the fire drill sound for them before the real drill, so they weren’t scared when the loud noise started. Great job everyone but just remember...in case of the real thing don't forget your favorite rodent!
After the fire drill, the crew had a busy enrichment block. They visited Ms. Moore in the library and then Ms. West in the garden. I was jealous I didn't get to go the garden but Ms. West probably isn't big on letting creatures like me roam around her leafy garden beds....oh well...a hamster can dream can't I?
It’s been a wonderful first week in kindergarten, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. I’m so lucky to be part of this amazing classroom family!
