Today started off with a lot of smiles, and I could tell it was going to be a fantastic day! The classroom was buzzing with excitement as the little ones geared up for their big kid math assessment tomorrow. Mrs. Strempel and Mrs. Derong made sure everyone was prepared by teaching them all about using chrome books, headphones, and even what to do if they can’t hear the question. The kids thought it was so cool to be getting a picture of the inside of their math brains! Its too bad they dont make headphones for hamsters though. I think I'd look pretty cool.

We also had a special visitor today—Tyler, Mrs. Strempel’s son, who’s heading off to college at UT Austin soon. He spent the day helping out in the classroom, listening to all the kids count as high as they could. Nine kids counted all the way to one hundred! I was so impressed with everyone!

In science, the kids dove into the five senses, learning all about sight and hearing. They learned some amazing facts about how our eyes and ears work. The kids were so curious and asked so many great questions.

All in all, it was a day full of learning, excitement, and a lot of counting!
